Lung diseases such as COPD have a substantial impact upon quality of life, and people with chronic lung disease experience high rates of depression and anxiety. This webinar will describe common emotional reactions to lung disease and the psychological interventions have been used in this population. The application of techniques focused on psychological flexibility and mindfulness will be discussed, as will the critical role of the respiratory therapist in helping people with chronic lung disease live a meaningful and valued life.
