Inhaled medications are a mainstay of therapy for patients who have COPD.  Their use has been shown to reduce symptoms and exacerbations.  This session will review the current inhaled medications that are available.  The session will also emphasize the correct use of the various types of delivery devices for these medications.  Suggested measures for implementation of these therapies will also be discussed.

Objectives:  At the completion of the session, the learner will be able to:

-List the classes of inhaled medications that are currently available for patients who have COPD.
-Correctly use the various types of delivery devices.
-Develop a strategy for the implementation of the inhaled medications from an evidence based perspective.
